# Using Karbon for your practice management?

## Great news! You can now monitor your Aider period close checklists in Karbon Work items

## What’s new?

We’re excited to launch the first phase of our Aider and Karbon integration - designed to bring even more visibility and efficiency to your firm’s workflow.

This initial release focuses on **workflow alignment**, starting with **period close statuses** now available directly within Karbon.

## What benefits does it have for advisors?

- **Improved workflow efficiency**  
  One integrated task list to deal with.  
  See at a glance the scope of work required.  
  Easily jump into the Aider checklist for the detailed AI-assisted checks.  
  Upload documents to evidence work done with a single click.
- **Better progress visibility for managers**   
  Easily track what’s done, what’s in progress, and what’s still outstanding - right in Karbon.

## How does it work?

1. Once you map the Aider checklist types to a Karbon repeating Work series, **all Work items in the series will automatically track the progress of the corresponding Aider checklist.**
2. **See at a glance in Karbon:**
   1. the status of the checklist
   2. number of outstanding alerts including a breakdown by categories
   3. percentage completion (alerts fixed or reviewed)
3. If there are alerts, **easily jump into the corresponding Aider checklist** to review and/or fix the alert.
4. Easily sync the checklist status and summary, or export work-in-progress to Karbon with a single click.
5. When you close a period in Aider, **a comprehensive version of the checklist - including comments - will automatically be exported to Karbon** to evidence the work you have done.
